RevID booking terms
Last updated: 22 October 2026
1. Who you're buying from
When you book a job, buy a part or pay a deposit through RevID, your contract for that work is with the garage or business you book, not with RevID. The garage’s name, address and phone number are shown before you pay. RevID runs the app and takes the payment on the garage’s behalf through Stripe; the money goes to the garage’s own Stripe account.
RevID charges the garage, not you. The price you see before you pay is the full price, with no booking fee added.
2. Requests and confirmed bookings
Some garages confirm bookings straight away when you pay. Others take booking requests: nothing is booked until the garage accepts, and no money is taken until then. A garage can suggest another time instead; if you take it, it’s booked.
A quote is a price for a job from the garage. It stays open for the time shown on it. If you accept, you pick a start day and pay any deposit it asks for.
3. Your 14-day right to cancel
Booking a garage service online is a contract made at a distance, so under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 you can usually cancel within 14 days of booking and get a full refund.
If the job is booked to start within those 14 days, we ask you to tick that you want the work to start before the 14 days are up. If you then cancel inside the 14 days, you only pay for work the garage has already done and a fair amount for what it can’t recover, such as parts ordered for you. Once the work is finished, the right to cancel ends.
4. Cancelling or moving a booking
You can cancel or move a booking for free until the cut-off shown before you pay (usually 24 hours before the start). You get a full refund of anything you paid.
After the cut-off, or if you don’t turn up, the garage may keep the deposit, or a fair part of a full payment, to cover what it loses. Any part it doesn’t keep is refunded. The amounts are shown before you pay, and we expect them to stay small and to reflect the garage’s real loss.
If the garage cancels, everything you paid is refunded.
5. No-show fees and saved cards
A garage can set a fee for not turning up. If it does, we tell you the amount before you book and ask your permission to save your card with Stripe. The garage can only charge that amount, and only after marking you as not having turned up. We tell you straight away if it does. If you think the charge is wrong, reply in the booking chat or email support@revid.uk, and we’ll look at it with the garage.
6. Refunds
Refunds go back to the card you paid with, usually within 5 to 10 working days depending on your bank. Questions about the work itself are between you and the garage; if you can’t sort it out, contact us and we’ll help.
7. Messages from the garage
Booking confirmations and reminders about a booking are service messages. A garage can only send you offers or reminders to book again if you didn’t opt out when you booked, and every such message has a link to stop them.
8. Reviews
After a booking you can review the garage. Reviews follow our reviews policy.
9. The rest
These terms add to the RevID Terms of Service, and our Privacy Policy explains how we and garages use your details. Nothing here affects your statutory rights, including your right to have a service carried out with reasonable care and skill under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
