RevID reviews policy
Last updated: 22 October 2026
Who can leave a review
Only a driver who has used the business can review it: either they booked it through RevID, or their car on RevID has a part or job tagged as supplied or fitted by that business. Each car can review a business once. Reviews from a RevID booking show “Booked on RevID”. You can edit or delete your own review.
What isn't allowed
We don’t allow:
- fake reviews, or reviews written by or for the business, its staff, friends or rivals;
- reviews given in return for money, discounts, free work or anything else;
- a business choosing which customers are asked for a review, or asking only happy ones;
- abuse, threats, personal details, or content that breaks our Terms of Service.
What businesses can and can't do
Businesses can reply to reviews and report ones they believe break this policy. They can’t edit, hide or delete reviews, and they can’t pay us to.
Scores
A business’s RevID score is the average of its RevID reviews. Where a business shows its Google rating, it is shown separately and never mixed into the RevID score.
Reporting a review
Anyone can report a review with the Report option on it. A person at RevID checks every report and decides within 5 working days. If a review breaks this policy we remove it and keep a record of why. We tell the person who reported it and the reviewer what we decided.
If you disagree with a decision, email support@revid.uk and someone who wasn’t involved will look again.
What we do about businesses that break the rules
If a business posts, buys or pressures for reviews, we remove the reviews concerned and may show a warning on its page, suspend it or remove it from RevID.
