RevID is built around vehicle profiles and what people choose to share.
Reg-based lookups only surface publicly available DVLA and MOT data - the kind of thing anyone can already check - and details of a car that hasn’t joined RevID are shown to signed-in users only. RevID never reveals a keeper’s name, home address, or live location.
A registration plate is designed to be looked up. DVLA and MOT records already expose basic vehicle details to anyone who asks — RevID just presents it clearly. For a car that hasn’t joined RevID, these details are shown to signed-in users only; logged-out visitors are asked to sign in.
Beyond the public data, everything else on a vehicle profile — photos, notes, mods — is opt-in. Owners decide what shows.
Verified status is only awarded after an in-app vehicle access check. Verification content is never displayed on the public profile.
Not every plate has a profile yet. Signed-in users can still search — you’ll see the public reg data, and you can ask to be told once the owner joins. Logged-out visitors are asked to sign in first.
Report or block any profile directly from the app. If a listing breaches our guidelines, email us and we’ll act on it.
